Michael and Nikki Shearer, the husband-and-wife team behind TJS Construction, bring over 14 years of combined experience in the construction industry. Michael has dedicated his entire career to construction, starting in concrete and progressing through cabinetry, painting, tile, flooring, to full remodels and new builds. Nikki’s expertise complements his, shaped by her role in the city building department, where she managed permits, certifications, and inspections while gaining invaluable insight into building codes and compliance.

 

Their journey began in 2014 as subcontractors focused on rehabbing foreclosed homes. They quickly earned a reputation for their attention to detail and quality craftsmanship, which led to rapid growth as painting and flooring subcontractors for local builders. In 2023, Nikki achieved a major milestone by obtaining her building contractor license, setting the stage for their next chapter: launching TJS Construction. TJS is named after their children Theo and Jax, this business is a legacy they will pass on to their children.
